Meet The Maker...

When life gives you lemons.... diversify!

I founded CORCA last year when a shoulder injury prevented me from continuing to work as an upholsterer.

I needed to find something that used my skills and the equipment in my little workshop at the end of the garden, whilst giving me the joy of creating lovely things.

I began making bags and cushions using the remnants of upholstery materials so it wouldn't go to waste. A chance encounter introduced me to the existence of cork fabric and I fell in love with how great it is to work with, how gorgeous the cork-made items are and, of course, the environmentally friendly aspect of using this amazing natural material.

I have spent months playing with ideas, creating prototypes, and honing new skills so that I can offer some fabulous creations that I hope you will love too.

I don't mass produce my items - I like to play with colours, patterns and linings so many pieces are unique. I accept custom orders and am happy to hear from my customers with ideas of a design or style that they are looking for.

I am very grateful to you for visiting my website and supporting my fledgling business. You can help it thrive by sharing my website with your friends, following me on Facebook or Instagram, popping back every now and then to see what's new, or by subscribing to my newsletter to receive regular (but not too regular!) updates.

Thanks so much!   Liz
